Alicia's Story
I got married and moved away in Dec. of 1986. Since then I have lived in ElPaso,TX, Los Angeles, CA and now reside in Old Hickory, TN(Nashville). Still married, coming up on 24 years. I have three great kids, Aaron Austin(22), Travis(20) and Emmi (18 and gorgeous). My husband, Aaron is an awesome man. I have been blessed.
I do not keep in touch with anyone from school except Dolores Reyes whom I found on Classmates. I wish I could see everyone again. I guess there comes a time in your life when you desire to see people from your past.
Life has been good to me. I do miss "my people" in San Antonio and always realize just how much when I visit which is never often enough. Maybe one day I will come home.
If I got one do-over, I would not spend my time in high school thinking that everyone was better than I was.
I had a big crush on Ruben Rodriguez in the 6th grade at H.K. Williams Elementary. Talk about a crush......Expand for more
I wonder where he is now. BUT before that, probably in 4th grade or so, I had the biggest crush on Gabriel Pedroza. We were just little kids, really good friends and he probably had no clue but I really LIKED him. Boys don't usually have a clue.
A bit of advice to anyone who wants to listen, life is too short to not do it today. Don't wait until tomorrow to say it, tomorrow is not a promise. Everyday I try not to take my wonderful husband for granted. He is such a good man. If anything ever happened to our marriage, I do not believe I could ever find someone who could love me the way that he loves me.
As a parent, I've learned that you can have 3 kids with the same biological parents and they can be SO DIFFERENT! All precious but so different.
My first job was at Kentucky Fried Chicken on Fredrksbrg Rd, where I got paid nearly nothing to take orders. What I remember most about it is the fun that I had working there..
